FilMart: Black & White To Add Color to HK Market

HONG KONG– Big-budget Taiwanese action film “Black & White: The Dawn of Justice” will get its first outing later this month at FilMart ahead of a release in the second half of the year.

The film is a $13 million sequel to 2012 action blockbuster “Black & White: The Dawn of Assault,” which itself originated from Tsai Yueh-hsun’s popular TV drama series “Black & White.”

This time star Mark Chao is teamed up with the new addition, LIN Gengxin as the main cast whileHuang Bo and Ning CHANG reprise their roles from the previous edition.

The pic is co-produced by Prajna Works Entertainment, Beijing Hualu Baina Film &TV and Gravity Pictures Film Production, with international sales handled by Taiwan’s Ablaze Image.

French firm BUF, which recently worked on Wong Kar-wai’s “The Grandmaster,” provides visual effects, while Jack Gill (“Fast and The Furious: 5”) is set as action choreographer.
“The Dawn of Justice is now in post-production and is scheduled for a northern hemisphere fall release.
